Christmas Social: 19th December

Published 5th December 2007

We are pleased to announce that the chess club will be having our annual Christmas social event on Wednesday 19th December. It will be a fun-filled evening of novelty chess, mince pies and a refreshing drink or two. In recent years we've played chess variants such as time-handicap, games-at-odds, Fisher-random, Kreigspiel and the ever-popular doubles. This year we'd love to hear from anyone who can provide us with a good old-fashioned buzzer (sounding every 10 seconds) or someone who can make their laptop do much the same thing! If you can help please let us know via info@cambridgechess.org.uk. And if anyone wants to bring any homemade mince pies - they'd be very welcome. The evening is free, open to all and an unmissable event in the chess calendar. Let the festive season begin!
