This year's Thetford Rapidplay Chess Congress is taking place on Saturday 19th September.

The tournament attracts a good range of players from across East Anglia plus some players further afield from the Anglia & London areas, including at least one international team of juniors. The tournament is hosted by Thetford Youth & Community Chess Club and has proved to be a popular and very competitive early season tournament. Both juniors and adult entires are welcomed.

Non players are welcome as indoor facilities enable folk to stay and have some fun at some non chess competitions, plus refreshments and tuck are available. Waterworld Swimming / Leisure Centre is nearby for any who would want alternatives for non chess family members. Shops are a 5 minute drive away, and the High Lodge Forest Centre is nearby for any who would like to exercise.
